Auto Glass 101
What Polaris drivers should know about auto glass
Straight answers to help you choose the right service β and stay safe on the road.
π§ Repair or replace?
A chip smaller than a quarter or a crack under about six inches β and out of the driver’s direct line of sight β can usually be repaired in under an hour, restoring strength and stopping the spread. Larger cracks, edge damage, or anything blocking vision means a full windshield replacement. Not sure? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly.
π°οΈ ADAS recalibration
Most late-model vehicles have a windshield-mounted camera that powers lane-keeping, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise. After a windshield replacement that camera must be recalibrated so those safety systems aim correctly. We handle recalibration in-house so your car leaves road-ready.
π‘οΈ Insurance & Ohio glass claims
We work with all major insurance carriers and can file the claim for you. Many comprehensive policies cover glass with little or no deductible, and a glass claim typically won’t raise your rates. No coverage? Ask about cash pricing and Buy Now, Pay Later.
π Mobile service that comes to you
You shouldn’t have to drive a cracked windshield across town. Our mobile units carry the glass, urethane, and tools to finish most jobs in your driveway or office lot in Polaris β then we let the adhesive cure to a safe drive-away time before you go.
